Summer Camp Information

Gaia Camp was established in 2002 in a setting of outstanding natural beauty one and a half hours from Madrid. The 20-hectare estate boasts more than 5000m2 of facilities for children:

  • High quality accommodation for 250 people.
  • Classrooms for our educational programmes.
  • Sports facilities to allow 20 different sports without need to leave Gaia grounds.

A new concept in summer camps that unites sport, nature studies, languages, quality education programmes and a great team of professionals. Our principle goal is to nurture the talents and the happiness of our campers.

AGE AND CAPACITY:

  • We admit children of ages 6 to 18 inclusive. Campers participate in different programs according to age.
  • Gaia Camp limits its capacity to 190 children.
  • Some 40% of our campers are international.

WHAT WE OFFER AT GAIA CAMP:

Our camp takes place over two fortnights during the month of July. At Gaia Camp we offer:

  • Programs for children aged 6 to 13.
  • Programs for teens entre 14 y 15 años
  • Training programmes for teens in 1st and 2nd year of baccalaureate (aged 16 to 18)

HOW OUR PROGRAMS WORK:

In the morning:

4 hours of sports in 30 minute periods. 8 different sports every day. To see our sports facilities, CLICK HERE.

In the afternoon:

Campers can choose between three different programs, each lasting 2 hours. The program you sign up for will run throughout the two weeks.

For information about our programs, check PROGRAMS tab.

“SPORT CREATES A BOND BETWEEN PEOPLE THAT LASTS A LIFETIME”

Our programs are created in line with the age of our students and the number of participants that each of our 18 sporting activities allows. The safety and security of our campers is paramount, and for this reason all of our activities take place within the grounds of Gaia Camp.

Campers enrolled in this program take part in an extra two hours of sports during the afternoon, divided into four 30-minute periods. These students therefore practice 12 different sports during the day: 8 in the morning and 4 in the afternoon.

“A PLACE WHERE WE BEGIN TO MAKE OUR PLANET A BETTER WORLD”

In this program, students have two hours of workshops and other activities which take place in our Gaia Organics building. We educate our campers in essential matters such as respect for the environment, ecological agriculture, recycling, water, clean energies and more. Campers learn through fun activities that show them how to be environmentally responsible.

Students who choose this option take part in 4 hours of sports during the morning and 2 hours of Gaia Organics in the afternoon.

“WE LEARN BY LISTENING, BUT WE ALSO LEARN BY CREATING”

Two hours of workshops, modelling and other activities in our classrooms with the methodology of LEGO education. Relying on the imagination and creativity of the children, our LEGO workshops encourage such important talents and skills as innovation, communication, teamwork and enterprise.

Students who choose this option take part in 4 hours of sports during the morning and 2 hours of Gaia LEGO in the afternoon.

“GIVE ME THE FORMATIVE YEARS OF THE CHILD AND I WILL SHOW YOU THE ADULT OF TOMORROW”

Students of 13 to 14 years old participate in the Gaia Teens program. These students enjoy:

4 hours of sporting activities per day in 30-minute periods, which means they play 8 different sports every day.

Gaia Teens course: a two-hour program in which we work together through group discussions, exercises and workshops to develop social and communication skills, a sense of values, the capacity for teamwork, leadership, and more.
