All of this information is extremely important for the proper functioning of Gaia Camp. Please read it carefully. I would be grateful if you could pack your children’s suitcases together with them, to ensure they bring everything listed below.

1. Mandatory full uniform (four T-shirts, two pairs of shorts, sweatshirt, cap, and long tracksuit trousers).

2. Pool towel

3. Bathrobe or shower towel

4. Shower sandals (flip-flops or toe sandals). These are used for the pool, for showering, and as night footwear (please do not pack slippers).

5. Complete toiletry bag. Include sunscreen, shower gel, shampoo, hairbrush, toothpaste and toothbrush, and mosquito repellent roll-on or mosquito-repellent bracelet (available at pharmacies and very effective).

6. Water shoes (escarpines). This is specific footwear for walking in the river and must have a rubber sole. They are not jelly sandals nor rubber socks. A sample will be available at the office. They can be purchased at Decathlon or El Corte Inglés. Water shoes are used for river outings and on the gymkhana day.

7. Flashlight. Needed for the tipis night.

8. Two swimsuits and a pair of swimming goggles (labelled with a permanent marker).

9. Nine sets of underwear. If your child requires more for any reason, please include them.

10. Nine pairs of white sports socks. To prevent labels from detaching, it is best to place them on the sole rather than the elastic. Please ensure they are sports socks — not “invisible” or ankle socks.

11. Two pairs of pajamas. For girls, pajama set or nightgown; for boys, long or short pajama set. In all cases: cotton, as camp takes place in July.

12. Sports shoes (only one pair). The best option is Velcro sports shoes from Decathlon, clearly labelled on the side. This is their primary footwear for the entire camp, so please do not bring old or worn-out shoes. They should bring new or well-fitting shoes that properly support the foot.

13. Head Lice. Please take special care regarding lice before your child arrives at camp. There are many effective products available, but it helps us greatly if you use one that can be applied on dry hair, as it saves time and prevents complications during shower time.
    As a preventive measure, we kindly ask that you add 15 drops of tea tree oil (available in herbal shops) to the shampoo your child brings. It is completely harmless and highly preventive. Pharmacies also sell shampoos already prepared with this ingredient. We would appreciate if campers bring this for daily hygiene.

14. Lice comb (mandatory). A high-quality lice comb labelled with your child’s name. Please avoid short-plastic OTC combs; they are not effective.

15. Medical Information. If your child requires any special medication, you must bring the medicines and the corresponding dosages to the camp, placed in a separate bag (not inside the toiletry bag). These medications will be handed over on arrival day to the monitors at a designated table.
    The bag must be clearly labelled with your child’s name.
